United Way Community Investment - Education Application

The Community Investment Education RFP for 2025 funding is NOW OPEN

The United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha and Pierce Counties invests donations back into our communities primarily through the Community Investment Grants.

Our community of volunteers review applications, conduct site visits, listen to presentations and make funding recommendations. 

Funding recommendations are reviewed and approved by the United Way's Board of Directors. 501(c)3 non-for-profit organizations and other programs that can contribute to achieving outcomes in our goal area are welcome to apply.

To be eligible for a Community Investment Education grant your program must meet specific guidelines, eligibility requirements, and operating guidelines. Make sure to thoroughly review this information before applying, as incomplete applications will not be considered for funding.

All applicants are required to have or create an account to complete and submit your application.  Keep your user name and password handy so that you can "save a draft" and return to complete your submission.  Also this user name and password will continue to be used for agency reporting and future applications.

  • CREATE AN ACCOUNT (New users only - Recommend using your Agency Name as your User Name - watch for an email to set your password, check spam)
  • RESET YOUR PASSWORD (if your email has been used previously, you can reset your password)
  • LOGOUT (Be sure to log out once you have saved your draft or submitted your application)

Incomplete applications will not be accepted.  Do not leave any blanks; enter N/A if not applicable.

Be sure to click "SAVE DRAFT" frequently, you will be able to return and work on the application as time permits. Be sure to click "SUBMIT" when completed, you will not be able to access completed submission, but you will be sent a copy of your submission.

 

 

 


GRANT APPLICATIONS DUE:

Documents you will be asked to Upload at the End of the Application

  • Program Budget.
  • IRS Nonprofit Determination Letter (If applicant has a fiscal sponsor/agency, provide proof of that agreement and the fiscal agent's sponsor's IRS Nonprofit Determination Letter. ONLY REQUIRED FOR NEW APPLICANTS WHO HAVE NOT RECEIVED FUNDING FROM UW-GWP BEFORE. 
  • Board of Director's List.
  • A statement of opinion from most recent Independent Auditor's Report (cover sheet of audit),or a statement explaining why this is not available. ONLY REQUIRED FOR NEW APPLICANTS WHO HAE NOT RECEIVED FUNDING FROM UW-GWP BEFORE.

     For organizations that request a grant over $10,000

  • Most Current Balance Sheet.
  • Organizational Budget.
