Image of Kathleen Kelly
President

 

Kathleen Kelly currently works for Dakota County Community Services Administration as a Senior Project Manager. She worked at nonprofit organizations serving people with disabilities for many years before transitioning to working in state governments. This was a way to further influence public policy.

She grew up and Red Wing and returned more than 20 years ago. She is a graduate of Mankato State University and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

“I support United Way because they work on behalf of both the donors and the organizations benefiting from those donations to serve the public good. They are committed to improving challenging conditions through partnerships, awareness, and service.”

Vice President

 

Tammy Fiedler is the Director of Public Health for Wabasha County. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Winona State University and is a graduate of the Blandin Community Leadership Program.

Tammy grew up in Wabasha, MN. She and her husband, Dean, have lived in Lake City, MN since 1993 where their son and daughter graduated from Lincoln High School. Tammy and Dean have one grandson and enjoy spending time with him as often as they can.

“I support the United Way because they promote cross-sector collaboration in order to develop sustainable solutions to issues our communities face.”

Treasurer

 

Jarrett Enevold has a degree in Business Management from Iowa State University, and began his career in the financial services industry in Red Wing in 2018. Presently, he is the Operations Manager for Red Wing Credit Union in Red Wing, Minnesota.

Jarrett grew up in Red Wing, and currently resides in Lake City, Minnesota with his wife Emily. In his free time Jarrett enjoys golfing, boating and traveling.

"I support the United Way because of the impact United Way has in the areas of Basic Needs, Education, and Health within our community. United Way serves a unique role in listening to the needs of our community, and supporting several partner agencies to make real impact locally for families that need it."

Secretary

 

Jon Dahl has a degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Minnesota and has worked in the finance and banking industry for over 35 years. Presently, he is the Market President for Merchants Bank in Cannon Falls, MN.

Jon’s wife Becky works in the travel industry, and they have two sons, Andrew, who lives in Pittsburgh with their son-in-law, Lucio, and their grand-dog, Myers; and Eric, who passed in 2021 and is dearly missed. In his spare time, Jon loves reading non-fiction books, playing guitar, boating/fishing, playing a little golf, and following Gopher and other Minnesota sports teams.

“My decision to serve on, and support, the United Way board stems from a desire to assist people’s and families’ needs in our communities via our partner agencies and organizations that promote learning and skills development and provide availability of safe shelter and other services that would otherwise be unavailable.”

Past President

 

Joel Sorensen retired from Xcel Energy in 2015 with 38 years of experience in nuclear operations. At the time of his retirement, he was vice president of Operations and Performance Improvement, overseeing Monticello and Prairie Island nuclear generating plants. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota, attended the manager development program at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, and is a graduate of the Blandin Community Leadership Program.

Joel and his wife, Mary, lived in Red Wing for 23 years where their daughter graduated from Red Wing Central High School. They now live outside Prescott, Wisconsin, and enjoy watching all of the wildlife outside their kitchen window.

“I support the United Way because the resources entrusted to them by members of the community are efficiently and effectively managed to improve people’s lives right back here in the local community.”

Carrie Johnson is a graduate from UW-River Falls with a bachelor’s degree in Health and Wellness Management. She currently works at Mayo Health Systems in Cannon Falls and is the administrative assistant supervisor for Cannon Falls, Red Wing, and Lake City.

She lives in Cannon Falls with her two children. They both attend NDSU in Fargo. Go Bison! In her free time Carrie enjoy trips to Fargo for visits, traveling, the outdoors, baseball games, and spending time with friends and family.

“I support the United Way because I want to be part of an organization that works with community partners to help improve the lives of community members when faced with adversity.”

Image of Maggie Cichosz
Board Member

 

Maggie Cichosz has a Master of Public Health degree from Kent State University. She has over 15 years of experience in both the non-profit and government sectors. Currently, she is the Director of Community Partnerships and Engagement for RiseUp Red Wing.

Maggie is originally from St. Cloud, Minnesota and has lived in Red Wing since 2013. Maggie and her husband, Tim, have two daughters, Beatrix and Willa, and a lively aussiedoodle named Opal. Maggie loves to read, spend time in her kayak or on the speed boat, go hiking, and try out new recipes.

"I support the United Way because working together to leverage community resources and strengths is a powerful way to address the needs of a community."

Kimberly currently works for Gundersen St. Elizabeth's Hospitals and Clinics in Wabasha as an RN Director of Inpatient Services. She has worked for 34 years in the Nursing field and had a large focus of her career in the Emergency Department and Hospital Nursing. This has served her understanding of social determinants of health and how important organizations like the United Way can serve to improve the quality of life for many.

Kimberly grew up in Cannon Falls and moved to Wabasha seven years ago. She has a bachelor's degree in Nursing and is currently working on a Master's degree in Business Administration. She enjoys the outdoors, cooking family, friends and animals.

"I support the United Way because as an organization, it supports changing systems to advance the common good for all. It recognized the motivation of community to harness their caring power to improve financial stability and health of families."

Jill Rivard has been the Director of Hiawatha Valley Adult Education for the last 9 years. Jill has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls and is a licensed teacher.

Jill grew up in Stephen, Minnesota and moved to Red Wing 38 years ago. She has three daughters, who graduated from Red Wing High School. Jill has been involved with many nonprofits in the Red Wing area. She enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
